Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — LLK Trading Inc. of Linden, N.J., has recalled its 200‑gram packages of “Needle Mushrooms” because routine FDA testing has detected Listeria monocytogenes, a pathogen that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly, pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals. Consumers are advised to stop using the product and not to eat it immediately; anyone who has already consumed the mushrooms and who develops symptoms such as fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain or diarrhea should seek medical attention and inform their provider of possible Listeria exposure.
The recall covers 200 g clear‑top/blue‑bottom plastic packages labeled “Needle Mushrooms” with lot code(s) not specified on the sample; the product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including distribution through Bally Produce Corp., Maspeth, N.Y., and sales to DATANG Supermarket Inc. The company reports these packages have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025; customers should check package appearance and lot code(s) against retailer notices and contact point-of-sale outlets for confirmation if lot codes are not printed.
Consumers should return the recalled packages to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them in a sealed container and avoid handling raw product to reduce cross‑contamination. Customers seeking a refund, replacement or more information may contact LLK Trading Inc., Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. EST, at (908) 290‑3061 or by email at [email protected]; if contact information is not available or for further guidance, consumers should consult the FDA website and their retailer’s recall notices. No illnesses have been reported to date while the FDA and the company continue their investigation into the contamination source.
