Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Wawona Frozen Foods has recalled specific one‑year‑old 4 lb (1.81 kg) packages of its Organic DayBreak Blend because the product contains organic frozen strawberries grown in Mexico that may be contaminated with Hepatitis A, posing a risk of serious liver illness. Consumers who have the recalled product should stop using it immediately and either discard it or return it to the place of purchase; do not eat the product.

The recall affects Organic DayBreak Blend with the following lot code(s): 20082D04, 20082D05, 20082D06, 20082D07, 20082D08; 20088D04, 20088D05, 20088D06, 20088D07, 20088D08, 20088D09, 20088D10, 20088D11, 20088D12; 20089D09, 20089D10, 20089D11, 20089D12; and 20108D04, 20108D05, 20108D06, 20108D07, 20108D08. The affected packages were distributed to Costco Wholesale stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Utah and Washington and have been sold since April 15, 2022 through June 26, 2022; the recalled packages bear “Best If Used By” dates of 09/23/2023, 09/29/2023, 09/30/2023 and 10/18/2023. Products with different lot codes or later purchase dates are not part of this recall and the recalled lots are no longer available for purchase at Costco.

Consumers should discard or return the recalled product for a refund or request a replacement where purchased; if unsure whether a product is affected, check package lot code(s) and “Best If Used By” date before consuming.
