Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Hilltop Meadow Farm has recalled its 60 Day Aged Pepper Jack Raw Milk Cheese after testing confirmed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes, a pathogen that can cause listeriosis. Consumers are advised to stop using and not eat the product immediately and to consult a physician if they develop symptoms such as fever, muscle aches, nausea or diarrhea; pregnant women, newborns, older adults and immunocompromised people are at greatest risk.

The recalled product is labeled “Hilltop Meadow Farm” with designations “From A2/A2 Milk” and “Made from 100% Grassfed Cow's Milk.” Affected packages include ½ lb, 1 lb, 2.5 lb and 5 lb sizes with lot code(s) tied to sell-by dates of Sept. 21, 2023 or earlier. The cheese have been sold since Sept. 15, 2023 online and at the farm’s on‑site store in Pine Grove, Schuylkill County, Pa., and at select U.S. retailers including Meadow Run Farms (Littitz, PA), Shady Acres Farm Market (Elizabethtown, PA), Willow Haven Farm (New Tripoli, PA), Healthy Habits Natural Market (Orwigsburg, PA), Little Leaf Natural Products (Montrose, PA), Whole Earth Center (Princeton, NJ), Healthy Way (Massena, NY) and Northstar Bison Store (Cameron, WI).

Consumers should discard the product or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement and are instructed to avoid cross‑contaminating other foods or surfaces; consumers seeking a claim, refund or further guidance should contact Hilltop Meadow Farm by email at [email protected] (or return to the retailer where purchased).
