Chuao Chocolatier Recalls Its: .39 oz /11 Gram Potato Chip Mini Bar Lot 4022 Due to Undeclared Hazelnuts

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Chuao Chocolatier has issued a voluntary recall of its Potato Chip mini bar (.39 oz/11 g) lot code(s) 4022 because some packages may contain undeclared hazelnut, posing a risk of a serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction for people with hazelnut allergy. Consumers who are sensitive to tree nuts should stop using the product immediately and not eat it.

The recall applies only to the Potato Chip mini bar with UPC 872629006615 and lot code(s) 4022 (best by 22 FEB 25), which have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025, online and at select U.S. retailers nationwide (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). No other Chuao Chocolatier products are affected. The company says the issue resulted from hazelnuts inadvertently introduced during manufacturing due to cross‑contamination on shared equipment.
