Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Dairy Manufacturers Inc. has recalled Crecelac Infant 0–12 infant formula after a sample from one lot tested positive for Cronobacter spp., a bacterium that can cause severe bloodstream and central nervous system infections in infants, including sepsis and meningitis. Consumers should stop using the recalled product immediately and not feed it to infants; anyone who has concerns about possible illness should contact a healthcare provider promptly.
The affected product is Crecelac Infant 0–12, 12.4 oz cans, lot code(s) 24 039 1 CHE 352-1, UPC 8 50042 40847 6, with an expiration date of 08/2025. These cans have been sold since March 2024 primarily in retail stores in Texas and were distributed online and at select U.S. retailers as part of a broader voluntary recall initiated May 24, 2024; the product was manufactured at D.M. Mexicana Sa De Cv in Monterrey, Mexico. The recalled cans can be identified by the batch code printed on the bottom of the can.
