A.S.K. Foods, LLC Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Soy in Publix Rice & Pigeon Peas

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — A.S.K. Foods, LLC of Palmyra, Pa., has recalled select 32‑oz. containers of Publix Rice & Pigeon Peas because the product contains undeclared soy, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction to people with soy allergy or severe sensitivity; consumers should not eat the product and should stop using it immediately. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall covers Publix Rice & Pigeon Peas packaged in a plastic tray with a top label reading “Publix Rice & Pigeon Peas, Net Wt. 32 OZ (2 LB) 907” and a bottom ingredient label that lists “Cavatappi Pasta” as the first ingredient; affected lot code(s) are 5387-4, 5387-5 and 5387-6. The product has been sold since Sept. 15, 2025 online and at select U.S. retailers, and was sold at Publix stores in Florida.
