Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Fresh & Ready Foods has voluntarily recalled a range of ready-to-eat sandwiches and snack items because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause serious or fatal infections in vulnerable populations and pregnancy complications. Consumers who possess the listed products with the specified “Use By” dates should stop using them immediately and discard or return them; do not eat the products. No illnesses have been reported in connection with these items to date, and the company has removed implicated equipment and initiated corrective actions after an FDA environmental swab tested positive during inspection.
The recall covers multiple Fresh & Ready Foods branded products and related private-label items, including Breakfast Bistro Box (lot code(s) 1-FRBIST001), Antipasto Bistro Box (1-FRBIST002), Artisan Cheese Bistro Box (1-FRBIST003), Protein Snack (1-FRESLSNK001), and many sandwiches and snack items with “Use By” dates from 05/09/2025 through 05/19/2025 as detailed in company advisories; lot code(s) are printed on the product packaging. Affected products have been sold in vending machines and breakroom service areas online and at select U.S. retailers in Arizona, California, Nevada and Washington and have been sold since April 18, 2025.
Consumers should check the “Use By” date on the front of the package and immediately discard any matching products or return them to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement. For questions, to request a full refund or replacement, or for additional disposal guidance, contact Fresh & Ready Foods at [email protected] or call 1‑855‑424‑8390, Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. PST. If you are unsure whether your product is included, consult the company’s recall notice or contact the retailer for confirmation. This recall is being conducted in coordination with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
