Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Fresh Express Incorporated has voluntarily recalled a limited quantity of three salad kit products produced at its Morrow, Georgia, facility due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause serious or fatal infections in vulnerable populations. Consumers are advised to stop using and not eat the recalled products immediately and to seek medical attention if they develop symptoms such as fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain or diarrhea; pregnant women should consult their health care provider about risks of miscarriage or stillbirth.
The recalled items carry product code G075 and include: Fresh Express Caesar Chopped Kit (lot code(s): G075, Use-By Date April 2, 2023), Fresh Express Chopped Kit Chipotle Cheddar (lot code(s): G075, Use-By Date April 2, 2023), and Publix Makoto Honey Ginger Salad Kit (lot code(s): G075, Use-By Date March 31, 2023). These products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia and have been sold since March 31, 2023. Retailers have been instructed to remove the affected items from inventory.
Consumers who still have the recalled salad kits should discard them immediately or return them to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement; refunds are also available where purchased.
