Azuma Foods International, Inc. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Fish in Tako Wasabi

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Azuma Foods International Inc., U.S.A., of Hayward, Calif., has recalled 545 cases of Azuma Foods Brand Tako Wasabi — Seasoned Octopus with Wasabi after discovering the product may contain undeclared fish, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction to consumers with fish allergies. Consumers who are allergic to fish should stop using the product immediately and should not eat it.

The recall covers the 3‑pack retail package (Net WT. 5.3 oz./150 g; individual packages 50 g) sold under UPC 745329 90064 7, with lot code(s) printed on the bottom of the mylar sleeve: 1CFFDA2, 1CFGCH2, 1CFIBC2, 1CFJCG2, 1CFKBH2 and 1CGBAH2. The product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers in California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, Texas and Washington, and have been sold since mid‑August 2025 through May 2026.
