Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Mellace Family Brands California, Inc. of Warren, Ohio, has recalled Wegmans Semi‑Sweet Chocolate Nonpareils because the product contains undeclared milk, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to people with milk allergies or severe sensitivities; consumers who may be affected should stop using the product immediately and not eat it. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall covers Wegmans Semi‑Sweet Chocolate Nonpareils 18.5 oz (524 g) packaged in a plastic tub (UPC 0 77890 49787 6, SCC 10077890497873); affected lot code(s) and Best By dates are 55021 (Best By: Dec. 28, 2025), 55031 (Best By: Dec. 29, 2025), 55491 (Best By: Feb. 13, 2026), 55501 (Best By: Feb. 14, 2026), 56061 (Best By: Apr. 11, 2026) and 56071 (Best By: Apr. 12, 2026). The product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Wegmans stores in Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C., and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025.
