Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Savencia Cheese USA has issued a voluntary recall of select soft-ripened cheeses produced at its Lena, Pa., facility because processing equipment has tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes, a pathogen that can cause severe and sometimes fatal infections in vulnerable populations and can cause miscarriage in pregnant women. These items have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since Sept. 30, 2024, with some products carrying best-buy dates through Jan. 13, 2025; consumers should check UPCs and best-buy dates on labels to identify affected units.
