Raleigh, N.C., Nov. 2, 2024 — Savencia Cheese USA has announced a voluntary recall of select soft‑ripened cheeses produced at its Lena, Pa., facility because processing equipment may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause serious or fatal infections in vulnerable populations and pregnancy loss. Consumers should stop using the listed products immediately and not eat them.
The recall covers the following products with the specified lot code(s): Emporium Selection Brie, 12/8oz Brie (lot code(s): GTIN 10041498111325, UPC-A 004149811132, UPC‑B 041498111328); Supreme Oval 7oz, 6/7oz (lot code(s): GTIN 10071448504211, UPC‑A 007144850421, UPC‑B 071448504214); La Bonne Vie Brie, 6/8oz (lot code(s): GTIN 10820581678538); La Bonne Vie Camembert, 6/8oz (lot code(s): GTIN 10820581678613); 12/8oz Industrial Brie (lot code(s): GTIN 10077901005226, UPC‑B 077901005229); and Market Basket Brie 6/8oz (lot code(s): GTIN 10049705666309, UPC‑A 004970566630, UPC‑B 049705666302). These items have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2024; consumers should check product labels for the UPC and best‑buy date to confirm identity.
Consumers with any of the recalled products should refrain from consuming them and may return the items to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them following local guidance.
