Shang Hao Jia, Inc. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Sesame in Danshi Brand Spicy Shredded Tofu

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Shang Hao Jia, Inc. of South El Monte, Calif., has recalled 50 cases of Danshi brand Spicy Shredded Tofu because the product may contain undeclared sesame, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to people with sesame allergy or severe sensitivity; consumers should stop using the product immediately and not eat it.

Recalled product: Danshi Spicy Shredded Tofu, net weight 200 g, UPC 6942849709499, lot code(s) 20240825, best‑by date 05/24/2025. The product has been sold since Aug. 25, 2024, online and at select U.S. retailers and was distributed in California with direct deliveries to supermarkets.

Consumers should dispose of or return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or request a replacement; retain proof of purchase if available.
