Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Frito‑Lay has issued a voluntary recall of select 15 oz. Tostitos Avocado Salsa jar dips because the back label on some jars is mislabeled and fails to declare milk, a known allergen. Consumers with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk should not eat these products and should stop using them immediately, as consumption could cause a serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction. The company has notified the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and reports no confirmed illnesses to date.
The recall applies to Tostitos Avocado Salsa packaged in 15 oz. (425.2 g) glass jars with UPC barcode ending in 05597 and best‑before dates printed on the upper rim reading “2 NOV 23” or “3 NOV 23”; these lot code(s) have been identified as affected. The jars have the correct front label but incorrect nutrition and allergen information on the back. The product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since April 5, 2023.
Consumers who have the recalled product should discard it or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement and may request further assistance by contacting Frito‑Lay Consumer Relations at 1‑800‑352‑4477 (9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CST, Monday–Friday) or by email at [email protected].
