Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — King Arthur Flour, in association with ADM Milling Company, has voluntarily recalled specific lots of its Unbleached All-Purpose Flour (5 lb. and 25 lb.) because sampling has detected the potential presence of E. coli O26, which can cause severe gastrointestinal illness; consumers should stop using the affected flour immediately and not eat raw dough made with it. The company says it has not received any confirmed illness reports linked to these lots.
The recall applies to King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour 5 lb. (UPC 071012010509) with the following lot code(s): L18A04A; L18A05A, L18A05B, L18A05C; L18A09B; L18A10A; L18A13B, L18A13C; L18A20A, L18A20B, L18A20C; L18A21A; L18A27A, L18A27B, L18A27C; L18A28A; A19A02B, A19A02C; A19A03A, A19A03B, A19A03C; A19A05A, A19A05B; A19A07B, A19A07C; A19A08B; A19A09B; A19A10B; A19A12A; A19A14A, A19A14B, A19A14C; A19A15A, A19A15B, and to King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour 25 lb. (UPC 071012012503, Costco only) with Best Used By dates 12/04/19, 12/10/19, 12/20/19, 01/07/20 and 01/15/20. These products were milled at an ADM facility in Buffalo, N.Y., and have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, through distributors, and at King Arthur’s Norwich, Vt., store since the listed dates.
