Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Utz Quality Foods, LLC has issued a voluntary recall of certain Utz® 2.75 oz. Wavy Original Potato Chips because some single-serve bags contain a flavored seasoning that includes milk, an undeclared allergen that can cause serious reactions in people with milk allergy or severe sensitivity. Consumers with a milk allergy should not eat the affected product and should stop using it immediately.
The recall covers Utz® 2.75 oz. Wavy Original Potato Chips with lot code(s) corresponding to UPC 0-41780-19014-7 and expiration date May 06, 2024. Approximately 1,200 single-serve bags (88 cases) have been identified. The products have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025 online and at select U.S. retailers, primarily in New York State and within New York City.
Consumers who purchased the recalled chips should discard them or return them to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement and may request a refund or replacement by contacting Utz Customer Care at [email protected] or 1-800-367-7629, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
