Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Face Rock Creamery is voluntarily recalling two lots of Vampire Slayer Garlic Cheddar Curds (6 oz.) because the products have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems; pregnant women face risk of miscarriage or stillbirth. Consumers are urged not to eat the product and should stop using it immediately.
The recalled item is Vampire Slayer Garlic Cheddar Curds, packaged in a clear sealed plastic cup (UPC 8 51222 00528 7) with lot code(s) 20250519VS01 and 20250519VS02 and a Use By date of 08292025. The product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Trader Joe’s locations in Northern California (Monterey, Fresno and all locations north) and Northern Nevada (Carson City, Reno and Sparks), and has been sold since May 19, 2025.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled curds should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them immediately; those seeking a replacement or refund may request one.
