Mount Vernon, N.Y., Jan. 14, 2026 — Ice Cream Factory of Mount Vernon has recalled select containers of its Vanilla G.Nutt ice cream because the product may contain undeclared almond, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to people with tree‑nut allergies; consumers who have purchased this product should stop using it immediately and either dispose of it safely or return it for a refund. No illnesses have been reported to date.
The recall covers specific lot code(s) of Vanilla G.Nutt ice cream packaged in plastic pints, white paper‑coated quarts, and half‑gallon containers: pint UPC 8 56781 00361 3, quart UPC 8 56781 00362 0, and half‑gallon UPC 8 56781 00363 7, with an expiration date of March 2027 shown on the back label. These products have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025, online and at select U.S. retailers, including Golden Krust stores in Mount Vernon and White Plains, N.Y., and Farm Country Supermarket in Queens, N.Y., through direct delivery.
Consumers should return affected containers to the place of purchase for a full refund or exchange, or dispose of the product if a return is not possible, and are advised to seek medical attention if they experience an allergic reaction.
