Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Jonco Industries, Inc. of Milwaukee, Wis., has recalled specific consumer-sized White Cheddar Seasoning products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacterium that can cause severe illness, particularly in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled products immediately and not to eat them; anyone who has symptoms of salmonellosis should seek medical attention.
The recall covers White Cheddar Seasoning sold in the following consumer formats with lot code(s) printed on the packaging: Williams Sonoma–branded Popcorn Sampler Gift Box (lot code(s): 088594-2-1); Fireworks Popcorn Poppings & Toppings gift set sold at West Allis Cheese and Sausage (lot code(s): 088594-5-1); and Fireworks White Cheddar Seasoning 1.6 oz jars sold at West Allis Cheese and Sausage (lot code(s): 088594-7-1). These products have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025, online and at select U.S. retailers in limited quantities, and product labels have been provided to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for reference.
Jonco Industries initiated the recall after being notified by its seasoning supplier of a potential Salmonella concern tied to an upstream milk powder ingredient; the company has ceased distribution, notified customers and placed remaining inventory on hold. Consumers should return affected products to the place of purchase for a refund or dispose of them safely; those seeking a replacement, refund, or further instructions should contact Jonco Industries at [email protected] or by phone at 414-449-2000 during normal business hours. If you cannot confirm lot code(s) from packaging, consult the place of purchase or the company before disposing.
