Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — SunFed Produce, LLC has recalled all sizes of whole fresh American cucumbers packed in bulk cardboard containers labeled “SunFed,” in generic white boxes, or in black plastic crates with a sticker naming the grower “Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.” because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. Consumers should not eat, serve, sell, or distribute these cucumbers and should stop using them immediately; anyone who has the product should dispose of it or follow return instructions below and contact a healthcare provider if they feel ill.
The recalled products are identified as whole fresh American cucumbers with the following lot code(s): those sold between Oct. 12, 2024, and Nov. 26, 2024. The cucumbers have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and distributed to customers in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin, and to Canadian provinces including Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Some individual cucumbers may also bear a PLU sticker; consumers unsure whether they have the recalled product should check with their retailer.
Consumers should dispose of recalled cucumbers so they cannot be consumed or returned to the point of purchase, or follow their retailer’s instructions for return, refund or replacement.
