2. Selling expired products on purpose
According to the Korea Times, such allegations were leveled against one location in Seoul in August 2021 after an employee whistleblower circulated disturbing videos, showing workers replacing old expiration date stickers on tortillas and hamburger buns with new ones. While McDonald's claimed that its HQ was not involved in the decision to sell expired food, workers and customers at McDonald's locations around the world have reported similar incidents.
