3. Underpaying Workers
Depressing workers' wages is a classic greedy business move and one that McDonald's has been accused of many times. In one strike in May of 2018, 150 workers blocked entry to McDonald's headquarters in Chicago. Employees shared stories about needing food stamps despite working full-time and receiving raises of less than two dollars over four years as strikers called for a $15 minimum wage.
